Concord Portable Handheld Pulse Oximeter with Loud Audible Alarms and Large Color Display
The Concord Handheld Pulse Oximeter is a compact, lightweight, and durable handheld pulse oximeter. The handheld pulse oximeter can be used for spot-checking or for long term continuous monitoring. The Concord handheld pulse oximeter comes with optional sensors that accommodate infants, children and adults. Choice of ear clip sensor, adult, infant or pediatric soft sensor. The soft sensor allows for maximum comfort while on the user's finger, while still providing accurate readings. Ear clip sensors have the ability to measure oxygen saturation and heart rate from the ear lobe. The Concord handheld pulse oximeter is an affordable, convenient, and durable tool for monitoring pulse rate and blood oxygen. Along with PR and SpO2, the unit also displays Perfusion Index as well as SQI, which indicates the signal strength.
The Concord handheld pulse oximeter features programmable alarms for both high and low pulse rate and blood oxygen levels. Alarms include visual and audible indicators. If either SpO2 or PR go outside of the set parameters, the device's alarm will go off.

The pulsimeter itself is nice, but the ear clip probe is flaky and hard to use.  Finding a "sweet spot" on the ear is very difficult, and in an acute situation that would be a source of stress and anxiety. The customer service rep, John, was very helpful over the phone, suggesting that we could remove the cables from the clip and use them on the forehead, which seemed to work better, but it's still dicey, in my view.

This item does not work well using on ear. It starts monitoring then loses connection the moment I start to walk. I ended up ordering a better one and am returning this one

Easy to use, ear piece attaches easily and firmly.  The continuous read is really nice to track recovery with exertion.  Quick reading.  Small enough to take to doctor's where they only have finger versions.
