PLEASE READ THIS Important Information about using with a Multi-site/Ear-Clip Sensor In order to get your Multi-site/Ear clip sensor to work, you need to find a spot on your ear where the light passes through and the blood flow is adequate enough to get a reading. This often may not be the ear lobe. If you apply the sensor in a slightly darkened room, you will see a red light on one side where the sensor touches the skin. This is the emitter and the other side is the receiver. The light will be blinking until it is situated properly and then, the light will be solid red. You may have to try numerous locations on the ear to find the best spot. It may take up to a minute for your oximeter to get a reading. You may also find that the senor works on other spots such as the thin skin between the fingers.
